LEARN TO ROW, & INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED & SCULLING

LEARN TO ROW (LTR) (Beginners Needed & Welcome) @ 8:00AM - 10:00AM

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED (Prior Experience Required) @ 10:00AM - 12:00PM

SESSION 1: JUNE 18th - JUNE 29th (Monday - Friday) [Two week session]

SESSION 2: JULY 9th - JULY 20th (Monday - Friday) [Two week session]

SESSION 3: JULY 23rd - AUGUST 3rd (Monday - Friday) [Two week session]

SESSION 4: AUGUST 6th - AUGUST 17th (Monday - Friday) [Two week session]

NOTE: Program fees are $175.00 for Learn To Row (LTR) (2-week sessions). Intermediate/Advanced are $150.00 and LTRs who attend a second session will be charged only $150.00.

ALL SESSIONS ARE HELD MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FOR A 2 WEEK SESSION!

This is a great chance to learn how to row on the beautiful James River! Participants will row in a sweep-style boat (each rower has only one oar). The summer program is a combination of Open Rowing and Learn to Row.

The focus of this program is at this time, recreational. The 2012 Summer program commences June 18th and runs through mid August. Since in the summer the power boat traffic on the James River increases dramatically, we are usually restricted to rowing in the morning hours (6:00AM - 12:00PM).

Sculling lessons @ $30.00 per 2-hour group session can be done as arranged with Coach O'Rourke or even in lieu of low enrollment of certain sessions.
One session may be an adult LTR for interested parents and change in time to 6:00AM-8:00AM if necessary.

NOTE: New rowers to RCC may have a trial period for the first two weeks of the spring or fall season for $150.00 to be applied to the total fee if they continue. Partial scholarships are available to students with financial need.
